is Associate Professor of African American and American Studies at the Université François Rabelais of Tours, France. Her publications focus on African American religious traditions, oratory, and oral literature. From Spring 2009 through Spring 2010, she taught African American Studies at The University of Alabama as a visiting faculty member, pursuing research on the evolution of racial relations in the Deep South, particularly the perceptions and self-representations of Black-White couples, since the election of President Obama.
